The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions on the community.
SASSA will probably be rendering solutions like new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency stated it is alarmed about the high range of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your higher amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This can be as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office devoted to service the area each day. The company stage made for intervention ordeals a large influx of probable beneficiaries, that makes it tough to the Workplace to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more resources to allow the servicing of all consumers and enhance use of Social Assistance sassa status products and services,” the agency said.
